Life is always busy at St Augustine’s and we have many events, both in and out of school, all year round. We aim to share as many memories, information and successes with all families. Our school Twitter page (@staugustinesrcp) provides more frequent information but major events will be posted on this page.

World Down Syndrome Day 2022

On Monday 21st March 2022, Bella (Year 5) helped us celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by inspiring us with her fantastic knowledge and understanding of Down Syndrome. Below is a recount written by Bella on the day.

On Monday 21st March 2022, as a school we raised money and ran a raffle to support people with Down Syndrome. The money will then go to a charity called East Lancashire Down Syndrome Support Group. We also ran a cake sale and wore odd socks. We did this because my sister has Down Syndrome and we also have a pupil in school with Down Syndrome. We wanted to raise awareness because everybody is equal and everyone is put on this earth to bloom as different petals. We raised over £200!
